<home base>

the last time i was at home for my birthday was during my 22nd. turning 25 just today, and waking up in my own room at the comfort of my own lofty bed in my birthtown where i lived most of my life is simple yet welcoming. i had a severe migraine yesterday (probably due to loads of jolts and crashes i had in karting last thursday night), so i slept early last night (before 9 pm). i woke up today around 7ish am to be greeted by 11 sms (and still counting until the end of the day) all saying birthday greetings. some greetings were even precisely at 12 midnight, thanks for the extra effort friends. it includes an sms from my mom even though she’s just in another room.

‘received morning calls from my dad and sister, birthday greetings of course.

i’m happy to be at home this time. not that i’ll celebrate my birthday extravagantly today, in fact, i don’t really celebrate much my birthday at all. often times, it’s just an ordinary day with family and friends and eat out or at home when my mom cooked something. as for today, we’ll probably just go out and dine. it’s just me and my mom at home anyway.

i’m as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth. at 25, i’m blessed and grateful for what i have and accomplished. it’s not rocket science that i’ve lived probably close to half of my life on earth. (no, this is not mid-life crisis, ok? haha) i just want to say that i’m completely happy with what’s going on so far, and making most of every opportunity to discover new things that comes my way. time is not unlimited. it is too short just when you need more of it.
