pao pao showed me a PS script to do the lomo effect. so i was just tweaking on some of my photos taken by a regular digicam..and love particularly this one! now, i'm not expressing sacrilege here, i fully respect lomo and medium-format photography. in fact, i'm getting hold of a 120CFN in a few days (to borrow from ollie).
and the fort bus queue earlier this morning! my first day btw!

*pasensya, napasarap sa lomograpiya, hehe*
It has been said that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world.
november 22 was my effective date of resignation/severance. from that i knew that my last day to report for work was on the 21st of november, which was last wednesday. right? because on the 22nd i'm resigned already. so i don't have to come to work on the day that i'm effectively resigned. does that make sense?
anyway, i was wrong. according to the company policy your last day is your effective date of resignation. now, i don't get the logic from the terminology 'effective date of resignation'. i was thinking it's plain and simple. sometimes you really have to make things spotlessly clear.
but i still did had last wednesday as my last day. hehe.
i was planning to go and see the higantes festival in angono rizal today. i was all set last night, my bag and camera and the directions to angono from the south. however, i woke up early this morning and heard typhoon 'mina' is fast approaching. i don't want to risk being in the middle of the expressway stranded and nowhere to go…:( so i cancelled my trip. hope to see it next year!
a pic from despedida lunch last wednesday. thanks to nesty for the pic. sorry can't find a pic with all of us. thanks to lea and jun for organizing.
ive been trying my best to say things and whats going on recently but really tied up. i cant always find time to put something here. plus, the 2-hour each way travel time (going to work) daily is eating my 24. so that's a grand total of 4 hours a day gone! anyway still try to be productive from the bus by reading books, or listening to new music..hehe.. but i'm still midway 'century's son' by boswell. really have to finish this as i have tons of book to read ahead!
and for some reasons, they also blocked my blog site from the office internet. i swear that i've never tried to log-in from my office workstation and seldom check it (to the point that somebody else pointed out to me that my site is blocked). i'm not just sure why! no big deal anyway as i'm leaving sunny. this coming wednesday will be my last day and next week, i'll be starting on a new career venture! this will be on the other side of the district, global city, in the fort.
hope everything will go well.
'went out early for lunch today to get my confiscated driver's license. sadly, i was caught last saturday along paseo de roxas. my violation? illegal left turn..twas my first time driving in makati then, and bingo! had to pay 500 pesos for that stupid turn.
also recently, i've seen this fiction-fantasy-action film 'Nightwatch', (from the original Russian Nochnoy Dozor). it's not a new movie but i remember i saw it on tv midway that's why i downloaded it. the storyline is interesting, about unusual beings like witches, shape-shifters, vampires, seers, and their freedom to choose sides. whether good or bad; light or darkness; day or night…really fascinating plot but regrettably, the russian movie adaptation is far from thrilling.
i like this music! -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCz52XCFtQk it's by a band called athlete, also like their song called 'Tokyo'.
glad to have this weekend. movie night tonight, Ratatouille. hehe
so had my main blog picture different now, i guess the hong-kong-street-people-crossing is a little inapproriate as i'm back home. i took the picture last long weekend, from our topmost roof! was very careful because it's steep and i have my precious camera with me! so as in the picture, i live in the middle of a rural-slum! haha!
also, had this orangy picture from the sunset…by chance that my two previous photo-blog (as below) is quite orangy as well.
i have not been posting enough recently. sometimes, it's just hard to find time making an entry. but now that i've just finished my loma exams (one yesterday and another this morning), at least it lessen things to worry about. well not really, if i fail them, i have to pay $75 each so, 150 for both. i'll get to know the result by december, so crossing my fingers now. it won't really be funny if i'll allot part of my bonus to pay for it! but the truth is, i didn't really finish the books/manual at all, not even half. i just relied on old and sample exams. loma 356 - investment was especially hard!!! the other one, loma 301 - insurance ops….plain tricky. i just hope i have plain luck!
