well, i must say these are my lucky days…
first, i got extended to work for hong kong project until september this year. not really grasping for the chance desperately…i say if it'll really be this april (which is the original end date), then i'll go back home. no problem. i had my share. i had an abundant pot of gold from this project going on. (but i'm not saying i'm rich, it's just that the cost increases as you have more resources, hehe) it's not really a hard decision for me. i am single. i get to go home as often as quarterly. i have some relatives here to visit and can run into when i have problems. and my family can visit my here from time to time. it's very near home. having cheap airfare from cebu pacific is a bonus. and it's really convenient living here.. and the top reason of all. the pay….and career development..hahaha
since we moved office to TST last year, i've been thinking of moving somewhere in the kowloon side. but the then fact that i have 3 or 4 more months to burn, i decided it's not worth the hassle. but now that i almost have the entire year in hong kong, the idea came back to me. hehe… and actually, tonight, i just went and see the new place i'm going to stay. it's hung hom. totally a remote area compared to my causeway bay neighborhood (that i can even hear the tram now)… the place is nice. it's actually a hotel, but they're much more into long-stay hotel. the place is called harbourview. neat! and i have a bathtub now…hahaha
well that's it. that's what's going on right now. had dinner with sechie and adie tonight and i bought a polo shirt from m&s just on my way home…really can't help it… i admit, i'm such a shopper…but it's sale! really..from 350 down to 100 dollars…i guess it's reasonable…haha
the only thing my luck can't seem to work is logging in YM….i can't connect since the time i started typing this entry. well, you just can't get everything
boracay! last year. we had the island to ourselves! not so many people. i would really love to go back. if i only have unlimited money, one thing i'll do for sure is to go around the philippines. i've yet to go to palawan, batanes, ilocos, and bohol and i've never even been to baguio!
this is my neighborhood, probably somebody's having overtime or just forgot to turn the lights off.
loving your work. this must be something hard for me at the moment. i'm trying…
it's just half-month past 2007 but i've finished three books already!
this is a record!
the first one i did was 'by the river piedra' by p. coelho. it's just an short read actually, but i just didn't like the way the writer conveys the story. does it really need to be that religiously detailed that it even includes pilar's litany?
next was 'extremely loud and incredibly close' by j.s foer. i bought this during my vacation and suppose to read in hong kong (as books here are expensive). but can't helped myself and i finished it a few days before going back to hong kong, so i just left it at home. this is a nice read. actually reminds me of 'the curious incident of the dog in the night-time' by m. haddon. it's really witty, and i just liked the very natural approach of the story.
and the last one, which i just finished last night, is 'harry potter and the half-blood prince'! i know i'm too behind on this. but is dumbledore dead for good? i really believe there is something beyond what harry knew that dumbledore trusts snape so much. it's a good read, but i just don't like the layout of the story. very early on the chapter showed that harry suspected malfoy's and snape's conspiracy. he mentioned this to dumbledore, who did nothing but carry on looking for horcrux, which he actually got. just a fake one. it seems very stupid that he sacrificed that lot and ended up real nothing. overall, i find it rather very plain that what harry suspected at the beginning is exactly what happened (save for not hinting early who's the half-blood prince). still, the best among the books for me is the third, 'the prisoner of azkaban'.
in line is 'catch-22' by j. heller. but i really have to save this 'cause i still have three and a half months and this is the last one left.
hinangad kong magkaroon ng dslr, kahit 350D lang, ayos na, pero sagad sa mahal ang mga lenses kaya hanggang superzoom lang ako.
