today, i left office at about 6.30pm and headed to mong kok. now is the last day i can redeem a 100-hkd-dollar coupon courtesy of pccw…it’s from one of their promos awhile ago when i subscribed for their broadband cable service. so, i hurriedly catch the mtr to kowloon ’cause the redemption center will only be open until 7.30pm. they needed an ID, and i used my hong kong id for the very first time! i got the coupon which is gone by now ’cause i drop by wellcome before going home and exhaust on some essentials…spent about 200 hkd (i still needed to add a hundred ’cause my coupon is 100-dollar worth only). living here in hong kong is truly expensive…and due to the unforeseen degradation of my economic bounty, i always make sure i buy only the most intrinstic, necessary goodies.
| anyway, i also bought a tripod in mong kok! i do not always go by that area…and since i’m there and i’ve been haunting like weeks for tripods..i looked around shops and found a velbon. i got this one for 320 dollars…a little expensive by my standard but i think it’s a good investment. i just tested it a little now…and i’ll post some pics when i got the chance to use it outdoors. |
